‘Compensate family of man who ended life for SCS’

Activists of the youth wing of the Congress party staged a demonstration here on Monday demanding a compensation of ?25 lakh for the family of a 28-year-old man who ended his life to press the demand for granting Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh. Ambedkar on the arterial Trunk Road . The agitators, led by Youth Congress president Sirpathi Satish, raised slogans in support of their demands, which included a government job to an eligible member of the bereaved family of Doddi Trinath, who was found hanging from a cell tower at Vempadu, near Nakkapalle in Visakhapatnam district last Friday. Respecting the sentiments of the people of Andhra Pradesh, the Narendra Modi Government should concede SCS to the State which is imperative for accelerated growth in the fledgling State or be ready to face ''rout'' in the 2019 elections, city Congress president Sripathi Prakasam said while addressing protestors in front of the statue of B.R.
