Two men claiming to be TDP MLA’s aides attack traffic constable in city

Anil Kumar who works in 2-traffic station and Manikyalarao stopped the car in the middle of the road while speaking over the phone.“As the traffic was coming to a halt, I asked them to move the car to a side. Then they shouted at me, asking me who I was to tell them to do so. One of them said that he was speaking to my inspector. When I replied that they might be speaking to the inspector but they needed to move the car from the spot, they got down from the car and started an argument, which turned into an altercation. Both of them pushed me,” said the constable Anil Kumar.Police arrived at the spot as the altercation taking place and shifted Anil and Manikyala Rao to the police station along with their car. Later Anil Kumar lodged a complaint with Governorpet police. A case was booked against the two under section 353 of IPC.The Governorpet inspector P Pavankumar Reddy said that the car did not belong to the accused who brought it from one of their friends.Neither the accused nor their friend had any connection with Chintamaneni Prabhakar, though the car contains his picture on the back and written ‘MLA Denduluru in Telugu’ on the number plate. Even Chintamaneni issued a statement that he had nothing to do with the constable attacked and asked cops to take stringent action against those who were resorting to illegal activities by using his name.
