Shock and disbelief in GITAM campus after MVVS Murthy's death

The administration further announced that from henceforth the Gandhian Studies Centre in GITAM would be named the MVVS Murthy Centre for Gandhian Studies. Professor MS Prasada Rao, Vice-Chancellor GITAM observed, “It is an irreplaceable loss to the institution and great loss at a persona level. He was an institution builder, who spared no effort in making GITAM a mega institution.”Students and staff expressed their grief over the death of Dr Murthy. “He was extremely un-obtrusive, when it came to running GITAM, he would not have wanted any unnecessary or ostentatious display of grief,” Professor Rama Krishna Rao said.The authorities of GITAM observed that the University would function as usual without any break in the schedule. He was an institution builder, who spared no effort in making GITAM a mega institution.”Students and staff expressed their grief over the death of Dr Murthy.
