Bag of vegetables at just Rs 10 at this Andhra market

A bag full of vegetables is available at just Rs 10 at the Rajanna Rythu bazaar.At least seven varieties of vegetables are distributed in this market. "The idea behind the Rajanna market is to support the poor," said A Sitharami Reddy, an advocate of Nutakki village. "Prices of vegetables in the local market are very high. "The Rajanna Rythu bazaar has been launched with a twin purpose. Several farmers and landlords are donating vegetables to the market in order to continue the supplies at subsidised prices.

MANGALAGIRI: Rajanna Rythu bazaar , launched by local legislator Alla Ramakrishna Reddy of the YSR Congress Party has become a big success.Locals are visiting this market in hordes to pick up vegetable bags available at a highly subsidised rate. A bag full of vegetables is available at just Rs 10 at the Rajanna Rythu bazaar.At least seven varieties of vegetables are distributed in this market. "The Rajanna Rythu bazaar has been launched with a twin purpose. One is to provide relief to commoners from the rising vegetable rates and second is to expose chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and his promises to keep a check on the rising rates of essential commodities," Ramakrishna Reddy told TOI.He said that Naidu should first focus on the administration in the state before trying to stitch up alliances at the national level to save democracy. He added that Naidu had literally become another 'Nero' as he had been blaming the Centre for public woes.After receiving a huge response to the Rajanna Rythu bazaar, local vegetable growers began voluntarily donating stocks to help the poor."The idea behind the Rajanna market is to support the poor," said A Sitharami Reddy, an advocate of Nutakki village. Several farmers and landlords are donating vegetables to the market in order to continue the supplies at subsidised prices."Prices of vegetables in the local market are very high. We are happy that we are getting seven varieties at just Rs 10," said K Mahalakshmi, a resident.
