VIJAYAWADA: YSR Congress leaders , citing the remand report filed by the Vizag airport police to the VII additional metropolitan magistrate, said Janipalli Srinivasa Rao kept two more small knives in his pocket. YSRC's Vijayawada coordinator Sk Mahmud Iqbal criticised the TDP government for hiding several details."He (Srinivas Rao) secured small knives generally used for cockfights, where the gamblers tie such knives to the legs of the cocks. On October 24, he came to know about the arrival of Jaganmohan Reddy . So he concealed two small knives in his pockets and also brought the letters prepared by him," Iqbal said, quoting the remand report. He also raised apprehensions on the state government's recent decision to revoke 'general consent' from the CBI to probe corruption and other cases in AP. "We have apprehensions about the government's investigation into the attack against Jaganmohan Reddy. They deliberately did this foil any chances of handing over the case to the CBI," Iqbal said. When asked if YSRC would support Naidu's decision if the Jagan attack case is handed over to CBI, Iqbal said the decision was not connected to the Jagan attack alone, as the central agency had much to probe into various irregularities in big-ticket projects.
