PM Modi concerned about Gujarat, afraid of Andhra Pradesh’s growth: Chandrababu Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was afraid of Andhra Pradesh’s growth, which is ahead of Gujarat.Speaking to the party leaders over teleconference here on Wednesday, Naidu said that Modi was more concerned about Gujarat and not the other States. He doesn’t have proper answers to the questions asked by the media and gave a confusing answer to Jana Sena. While activists of Jana Sena countered the ruling party and Naidu on social media, party chief Pawan Kalyan remained silent. He said the Prime Minister was not helping Andhra Pradesh fearing that the State would surpass Gujarat. “Even without the cooperation from the Centre and Modi, AP had recorded highest growth rate in the last four years,” Naidu said.Referring to the bifurcation of the High Court.

However, he said that the State could provide temporary accommodation for the high court lawyers.Naidu said that Modi had teamed up with Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy to stop the State’s development. He wanted the leaders to focus on winning 150 Assembly constituencies and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in the State to play a key role in the formation of the next government at the Centre. “More MP seats will give the party its strength to get greater support for the State from the Central government,” Naidu said.Jana Sena Party (JSP) cadres condemned AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s remarks on chances of forming Jana Sena-TDP alliance in the coming elections. While activists of Jana Sena countered the ruling party and Naidu on social media, party chief Pawan Kalyan remained silent. Party activist Kalyan Dileep Sunkara said, “Naidu always believed in confusing the public. He doesn’t have proper answers to the questions asked by the media and gave a confusing answer to Jana Sena. We will strongly counter it soon and we have clearly stated that our fight is against the ruling party which failed to fulfill the promises made in 2014.”Responding to the tweets and posts of YSRC leaders, Sunkara said that Jagan and his party workers are trying to take advantage of the statements made by Naidu.
