GUNTUR: Asserting that chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has put the development of the state on the fast track, IT and rural development minister Nara Lokesh assured that he will make Mangalagiri a model constituency.While on a whirlwind visit of Mangalagiri constituency on Sunday, Lokesh visited several villages and met its people. The locals, in turn, gave him a rousing reception.Overwhelmed with the love, Lokesh promised to develop the constituency as a model segment. He said that they would take up an underground drainage project in the constituency soon after winning the election.“We will not only start the project but also complete it within no time as Mangalagiri is going to be the Cyberabad of Amaravati,” said Lokesh. He said that he would personally ensure that a dedicated drinking water scheme is completed in the next 18 months through which all the households will get water.He said that Prime minister Narendra Modi has openly threatened Guntur MP Galla Jayadev for questioning him over the Special Category Status (SCS) and he will target all his political adversaries out of jealous.He said, however, AP under the able leadership of Naidu has outdone even the Centre on growth rate. The presence of an experienced leader such as Chandrababu Naidu has helped AP develop rapidly in spite of the non-cooperation of the Centre, he said. He alleged that Modi has joined hands with dacoits and looters of the nation and has deliberately done injustice to AP. “Naidu courageously came out of the NDA and exposed the lies of Modi,” said Lokesh.He assured that Modi will be ousted from the Centre that and no government would be formed without the support of TDP after the next elections.Taking a dig at the YSR Congress, Lokesh alleged that Jagan will not say a word against Modi as he is worried about the cases pending against him.
