Pvt agency’s survey creates controvery

Vijayawada: A Hyderabad-based private survey agency’s attempt to capture the mood of the electorate created a flutter in Mangalagiri assembly constituency in Guntur district on Sunday. YSR Congress supporters raised objections over two men for conducting a survey at Nidamarru and Navuluru villages suspecting them to trying and influencing the voters.The locals of Nidamarru alleged that in the guise of the survey, the survey agents were collecting bank account numbers of the voters. They even lodged a complaint with Mangalagiri police alleging that the survey agents were trying to influence a particular section of voters.Acting on the complaint, cops rushed to the spot and took both the agents into custody.

However, during their probe, cops did not find any bank account numbers data with the agents.A similar incident was reported at Navuluru village in Mangalagiri constituency where the locals surrounded a person who was conducting the survey.
