AP launches MSME Corporation with Rs 100 cr

VIJAYWADA: The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday launched the AP MSME Development Corporation with a corpus fund of Rs 100 crore to promote micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the State. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu formally announced the creation of the corporation that would help in boosting the small and medium industries in the State. Earlier, the government signed MoUs with various companies to establish MSMEs in the State and exchanged agreements in the presence of the Chief Minister. Out of these 813 units have already been grounded with an investment of Rs 2,75,650 crore creating 6,17,691 jobs for the youth. He said that the State stands first in Ease of Doing Business in the country in just two years of the bifurcation.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu formally announced the creation of the corporation that would help in boosting the small and medium industries in the State. He said that the MSMEs would help in the overall development of the State besides creating employment opportunities.The Chief Minister, while participating in the MSME Day organised by the State Industries Department, said that the government had created single window to clear all permissions for the industries. The clearances are issued at the shortest possible time giving a great relief to the investors to start industries, he added.The Chief Minister said that the government was committed to promote industries in the State and asked the entrepreneurs to take advantage of the government initiatives. He said that the State stands first in Ease of Doing Business in the country in just two years of the bifurcation. The State which was bifurcated with revenue deficit and without a capital is now showing double digit growth and standing on top of the rest of the States in the country in promoting investors, he added.The Chief Minister further recalled that the government had organised two summits in Visakhapatnam with the investors and had singed 1534 MoUs for Rs 16,95,445 crore worth investments creating 30,98,330 new jobs in the State. Out of these 813 units have already been grounded with an investment of Rs 2,75,650 crore creating 6,17,691 jobs for the youth. Chandrababu Naidu further said that the State had created 237 clusters for the MSME in the State with the support of the APIIC and wanted the entrepreneurs to make use of it.The Chief Minister further said that the government would allocate 15 acres of land in Amaravati for the MSME Bhavan. This bhavan would be the center for technology, marketing, training and skill development, he added. The proposed MSME Bhavan in Amaravati would be the resource center for the entrepreneurs to march forward, he added.Minister for Minister for Industries N Amarnath Reddy, Ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Kollu Ravindra, Women Commission chairperson N Rajakumari, Industries principle secretary Solomon Arokia Raj, Commissioner for Industries Siddharth Jain and others were present. Earlier, the government signed MoUs with various companies to establish MSMEs in the State and exchanged agreements in the presence of the Chief Minister.
