‘Collector’s visit to school changed my life’

Also, a question by a teacher while I was working in railways strengthened my commitment and triggered me to pursue civil services career. I have walked five kilometres every day for the sake of education and the efforts paid off later,” he said. Senior citizen and former Panchayat Raj employee P.S. Hanumantha Rao also shared his experiences with the participants at the programme. Mr. Rao said that he joined the department for a salary of ?47 about 40 years ago. “Courage and sincerity are most important qualities one should have and unnecessary expenditures are the root causes of several problems in families,” he said.
