Naidu did not ask me to quit: Akhila

VIJAYAWADA: Tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya on Tuesday said that she would not resign from the cabinet as no one in the government, including chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu , had asked her to quit taking the responsibility for the recent boat mishap in River Krishna.She told TOI that there is no truth in the reports that the CM had said that, in the past, ministers would have resigned if such tragedies happened, at a meeting held at the secretariat on Monday.She said she had submitted a report to him on the boats that had not obtained permission from the tourism department.
