Sudden demise of actress Sridevi has shocked everyone in the film industry and her fans. She was one of the iconic actresses of Indian cinema who had worked in several languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannad, Malayalam, Hindi.

She was often compared with her contemporary Madhuri Dixit, who was considered her competition in terms of acting, dancing and beauty. But little does anyone know that Madhuri is known as ‘Dhak Dhak girl’ because of Sridevi.

Yes, Madhuri’s film ‘Beta’ opposite Anil Kapoor, was first offered to Sridevi which she rejected. As per sources, Sri said that she had done too many movies with Anil so this role went to Madhuri, who became a sensation with song ‘Dhak Dhak Karne Laga.’

However, this didn’t affect Sridevi’s success as she was always known to be the first female superstar of Bollywood.
