Amritsar Police reunites kidnapped girl with her family

AMRITSAR: Almost a month after being abducted, two-year-old Anu was reunited with her mother by Amritsar Police on Saturday.Additional deputy commissioner of police, City I, Jagjit Singh Walia informed that Paramjit Kaur , Anu's mother, had lodged a missing complaint of her daughter on March 19.On the basis of specific information by a source, Walia informed that, police held the alleged accused Paramjit Kaur near Cheel Mandi and recovered Anu from her possession. Anu was later handed over to her mother.He informed that police would produce the alleged culprit in court to obtain her custody so they could know the reason and involvement of other persons in the kidnapping.However, the preliminary investigation revealed that the alleged accused Paramjit Kaur lived in a live-in relation with a man whom she had left quite some time back and had two children.
