Trader robbed of Rs 45,000

Amritsar, April 26Four unknown armed persons robbed a feed store owner of Rs 45,000 in Rayya here on Wednesday. Victim Narinder Singh stated to the police that he along with his partner Tejpal were present at their shop when four persons with covered faces robbed them of Rs 45,000 at gunpoint. The Beas police have registered a case under Section 379-B of the Indian Penal Code and 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act against the unidentified persons. Investigating officer Balkar Singh said the police were trying to identify the culprits. They fled towards Baba Bakala side, he added.
