Farmers seek 16-hr power supply for irrigation

Rattan Singh Randhawa, vice-president of the Jamhoori Kisan Sabha, said all defunct electricity transformer should be replaced immediately. He said farmers would not be able to irrigate their paddy nurseries due to a shortage of power. The farmers also demanded the Voluntary Disclosure Scheme be initiated.
