Amritsar elections: SAD fears rigging, violence on voting day

"I apprehend every possibility of large scale rigging and violence on voting day tomorrow," he said. AMRITSAR: On the eve of Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections , the SAD has feared rigging and violence.While speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, former cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majitha alleged that the Congress goons have let loose a reign of terror in Majitha region by intimidating the candidates. He alleged that Congress has imposed an emergency like situation in the state.He said the situation had become such that the Congress was even getting cases filed against victims of repression.Bikram Singh Majitha said he had personally led a dharna after the son of a Dalit candidate was insulted and another was dragged by his beard at Chaugawana Saadpur village in Majithia.He also claimed that Sukhpal Khera and Kanwar Sandhu of AAP had allegedly joined hands with Congress and were supporting their candidates.Meanwhile, police took out the flag march in several places in the border zone to infuse a sense of security among voters.
