Aaghaz-e-Dosti' 7th peace calendar involving Ind-Pak to be launched on January 20

BATHINDA: Aaghaz-e-Dosti, a cross border Indo-Pak friendship initiative, which works through peace education activities in schools and colleges, has decided to launch 7th Indo-Pak Peace Calendar and hold seminar on 'Sharing of Hopes for Peaceful Co-existence' at Delhi on January 20 . These peace calendars are being released every year with a seminar titled ‘Sharing of Hopes for a Peaceful Co-existence’. The India chapter of Aaghaz-e-Dosti earlier have released six calendars at various places across the country.This calendar is a collection of selected paintings of school students from India and Pakistan. I A Rehman, Dr. Parvez Hoodbhoy, Asma Jahangir, Karamat Ali, Raza Rumi, Dr. Mubashir Hasan, Khadim Hussain, Lt Gen (Retd) Mohd. A Alam, Imtiyaz Alam, Beena Sarwar, Kiran Nazish, Shakeel Wahiduddin Khan, Saeeda Diep, Sheema Kermani, Anwar Jafri, Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad and many others from Pakistan.

It has messages from renowned personalities working on the issue from both the countries."We have received great response for the calendar in last six years since 2012 as many schools from India and Pakistan participated in this initiative by sending paintings and this “Indo-Pak Peace Calendar 2019” will be 7th in the series", India chapter convener Devil's Mitral and Ravi Notes.This peace calendar also carries twelve messages from renowned persons from both sides who supports India-Pakistan Peace. These peace calendars are being released every year with a seminar titled ‘Sharing of Hopes for a Peaceful Co-existence’. The peace calendars have received warm welcome in cities like Delhi, Lahore, Mumbai, Karachi, Kolkata, Islamabad, Panipat and at many more places where peace supporters gathered to release it and to talk about peace.This year, the peace calendar carries messages of people like Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, Nandita Das, Major General (Retd) TK Kaul, Prof. Happymon Jacob , Rana Safvi and Rajagopal PV from India and of Mehmal Sarfaraz, Husain Naqi, Amarnath Randhawa, Dr Ashok Kumar, Dr. Ruksana David and Prof Ayesha Jalal from Pakistan.During last six years, we are blessed with messages and participation of people like Dr S N Subbarao, Prof. MS Swaminathan, Late Kuldeep Nayyar, Tara Gandhi, Rahul Jalali, Satyapal, Dr Syeda Hameed, Kamla Bhasin, Shashi Tharoor, Maj Gen (Retd) Ashok Mehta, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Kapil Kak, Sudheendra Kulkarni, Pankaj Chaturvedi, Late Pankaj Singh, Dr. Dhananjay Tripathi, Col Virender Sahai, Dr. Chaman Lal and many others from India and Dr. I A Rehman, Dr. Parvez Hoodbhoy, Asma Jahangir, Karamat Ali, Raza Rumi, Dr. Mubashir Hasan, Khadim Hussain, Lt Gen (Retd) Mohd.
