Annual Maa Boli Mela held to promote Punjab’s culture

AMRITSAR: The 11th edition of the Annual Maa Boli mela was organised by Punarjyot and Spring Dale Senior School to instil love and pride for Punjabi culture and language among the masses.Stating that Maa Boli mela was not just a platform to celebrate the richness of Punjabi language and culture, Chairman, Spring Dale Educational Society Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, said that the event also endeavors to explore the avenues of promotion of Punjabi language especially with the onset of digital technology, internet and other media, all of which are taking a toll on the regional languages.Various competitions including quiz , poetry recitation, calligraphy, rendition of Sufi and folk songs were held on the occasion in which sixteen teams from different schools sans Spring Dale Senior School participated .
