AMRITSAR: While taking exception of sale of doormats with images of the Golden Temple by online retailer Flipkart, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has issued legal notice to the company. The SGPC has also appealed to the government to make strict policy against such companies that sells products which hurt the religious feelings of a community.Earlier, the Sikh body had sent notice to the another e-commerce giant Amazon for selling toilet mats with images of the Golden Temple. SGPC has also warned Flipkart of lodging an FIR if the sale was not stopped immediately.SGPC chief secretary Roop Singh said on Tuesday that there was great deal of resentment among Sikhs against Flipkart for allegedly selling mats with images of the Golden Temple.
