Jalandhar administration to name plants after their 'guardian' employees

JALANDHAR: In a unique initiative aimed at ensuring proper upkeep of the newly-planted 250 saplings in District Administrative Complex , deputy commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma has said that the administration would name the plants on the name of the employees who would adopt them.Presiding over a meeting, the deputy commissioner said that the administration decided to plant 250 saplings in the entire complex. Sharma said that the employees would adopt one tree each and ensure its proper growth.He said that the trees would be named after the employee who would adopt it thereby ensuring emotional binding between the employee and the tree.
