Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, June 8A shop in crowded Liberty Market was gutted by fire on Saturday. The fire spread panic among shopkeepers, who tried their best to prevent it from spreading to other shops. Rakesh Pahwa, who owned the paint and chemical business, said he had a store and a record room in his shop. A generator was running near the shop in which the blast took place. He raised the alarm and immediately nearby shopkeepers gathered at the spot and tried to extinguish the fire, but it spread in no time.
