Our CorrespondentTarn Taran, June 21Seven persons have been booked for firing into the air and threatening residents of Padhri Khurd village, 16 km from here, on Thursday night. The police said the accused had been identified as Joban Singh, his father Sukha Singh, of the same village besides Jaideep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Gurchet Singh and Sonu. The case has been registered on the complaint of Manjinder Singh who alleged that villagers were opposing the accused who sat aimlessly near a medical practitioner's shop. The accused, in a fit of anger, fired into the air and threatened the villagers. They have been booked under Sections 336, 506, 148, 149 of the IPC, and 25, 54, 58 of the Arms Act.
