2 booked as girl goes missing with cash, jewellery

Amritsar, July 14The police have booked two persons, including a woman, for theft and criminal conspiracy after a girl went missing with Rs11 lakh and gold jewellery from a house. Major Singh lodged a complaint with the police in June while a case was registered on Saturday after a probe and taking opinion of the district attorney. He said on May 29, he, along with his wife, had gone out of house for work and his daughter was at home. He said when they returned, they found their daughter was not at home and all household items were scattered. They also found the locks of the almirah broken and cash and jewellery missing.

The suspects have been identified as Gurpreet Singh and his mother. Major Singh lodged a complaint with the police in June while a case was registered on Saturday after a probe and taking opinion of the district attorney.
