Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, August 18The Punjab Naatshala held a condolence meeting to pay tributes to Prof. Attarjit Kaur Suri, a prolific writer, story teller and the mother of Indian diplomat Navdeep Singh Suri on Sunday. She wrote travelogues, short stories, biography of her father-in-law, among others. She will always be remembered through her writings.”Kulbir Singh Suri, brother-in-law, of Kaur, said, “She was like a mother to me. She was also inclined towards short stories.”She passed away on August 16 at the age of 84. Among present included, Dr Paraminderjit Singh, Manpreet Kaur, Principal Khalsa College for Women, Simarnpreet, Baldev Raj, Kulwant Singh Suri, Navdeep Singh Suri, Kewal Dhaliwal, among others.
