Our CorrespondentTarn Taran, September 3The district police have busted a gang of robbers with the arrest of three of its members and seized a sword and a datar (sharp-edged weapon) from them. The police have impounded the Bolero used in the crime. The arrested robbers have been identified as Ajaib Sigh Jaiba, Rachhpal Singh Pala and Gurbhej Singh Bheja of Ruriwala, while two of their accomplices, Gurlal Singh and Gursajan Singh of Ruriwala village, managed to escape, SP (Investigation) Harjit Singh Grewal said here on Tuesday. The SP said the gang members in a brick kiln at Dhotina village, 15 km from here, were holding a meeting on Monday evening when the Sarhali police raided the spot. The SP said the robbers used to park their Bolero on the road to stop vehicles coming from other states and loot them on gun point.
