CAMPUS NOTESAmritsar: The Department of Physics, BBK DAV College for Women, organised DBT sponsored workshop on ‘Interesting Aspects of Physics’. He gave an insight on the basic concepts of physics and mathematics and demonstrated various important concepts of the physics, like charges, force, pressure, sound and gravity. Prof Kirandeep Singh Phul, the author of “21 Kesaris: The Untold Story of the Battle of Saragarhi” was present. Prof Shilpi Seth, HoD, the PG Department of History, briefed about the historic event. Prof Kirandeep Singh Phul talked about the struggle of Sikh soldiers and explained how they guarded the post of Saragarhi against the onslaught of almost 10,000 Afghan tribesmen.

He gave an insight on the basic concepts of physics and mathematics and demonstrated various important concepts of the physics, like charges, force, pressure, sound and gravity. TNS Lecture on Saragarhi day Amritsar: The PG Department of History, Travel and Tourism, DAV College, organised an extension lecture to commemorate the Saragarhi Day.The event was organised under the UGC-sponsored Gandhian Studies Centre. Prof Kirandeep Singh Phul, the author of “21 Kesaris: The Untold Story of the Battle of Saragarhi” was present. Prof Shilpi Seth, HoD, the PG Department of History, briefed about the historic event. TNS Rally against drug abuse Amritsar: Students of Government Senior Secondary Smart School for girls, Mall Road, carried out a rally against drug abuse. The rally was taken to create awareness on the ill-effects of drugs. The students, along with staff and principal Mandeep Kaur took part in the rally as part of the anti-drug campaign of the Education Department. TNS
