  • | Thursday | 10th October, 2019

Amritsar, October 9Even after district administration asking travel agencies to get themselves mandatorily registered under the Punjab Travels Professional Regulation Act, many travel agencies seem to bother a little about it. Tightening noose around such agencies, the police have booked three persons in two separate cases. Those booked were identified as Arvinder Singh, a resident of New Gurnam Nagar located on Sultanwind Road, Ranjit Singh and Shammy, both managing directors of Goodwill Immigration Company located on Court Road. Separate cases under Section 13 of the Act have been registered against them at Ranjit Avenue police station on complaints by Kulwant Singh and Jugraj Singh. Investigations were carried out by ACP (airport) Parvinder Kaur, who found the suspects guilty of running travel agencies without permission or registration with the district administration.
