In the first incident, around six car-borne armed persons snatched a car from a Jalandhar resident at Mallian village. They took out a revolver to scare him and fled away with his car. In another incident, armed robbers travelling in a car snatched a trader’s scooter, who was returning home after closing his blanket shop, located near Mahan Singh Gate, here yesterday evening. Ravi Mahajan, a resident of the city, said he was near his house when a white-coloured car came, out of which two occupants came out and snatched his scooter (PB02DQ4052) after pointing a pistol at him.

In the first incident, around six car-borne armed persons snatched a car from a Jalandhar resident at Mallian village. The victim, Ekjotsimar Singh, a resident of Sansarpur in Jalandhar Cantonment, was returning home when he stopped at a petrol pump in Mallian village to fetch water. He said an unidentified man pulled out the keys of his car (PB08EE8661). As he came out, another car with five occupants reached there. They took out a revolver to scare him and fled away with his car. The Jandiala police have registered a case under Section 379-B (2) of the IPC and Sections 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act against six unknown persons. Amolak Singh, SHO, Jandiala police station, said an investigation was under progress and footage of CCTV cameras in the area was being scrutinised to identify the suspects. In another incident, armed robbers travelling in a car snatched a trader’s scooter, who was returning home after closing his blanket shop, located near Mahan Singh Gate, here yesterday evening.
