Amritsar, November 4 Dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry will hold a week-long light and sound show titled ‘Jag Chanan Hoya’ here at Ranjit Avenue from November 7. A meeting in this regard was held here today under Assistant Commissioner Alka Kalia. She informed that the two-hour light and sound show would begin at 6:30 pm at Ranjit Avenue’s exhibition ground. She said the special show would apprise contemporary youth of the life of the founder of Sikhism and his Udasis. In addition, an exhibition on Guru Nanak Dev would also be held from 10 am to 10 pm at the same venue. Several government departemtns would hold stalls displaying various welfare schemes being run by the government. Schools students will take part in quiz, painting, dastar bandi (turban tying), kavishri, gatka and other events. According to officials, the events would be marked with zeal.
