Arvinder Chamak to participate in lit festival at Lahore

Chamak, who is a poet as well as a writer, will be the only person from Punjab to be a part of the three-day literature festival. “I am extremely excited to be part of the literature festival as it will feature prominent speakers and literature scholars, artists from both sides of the border. Chamak will be participating in three literary sessions at the festival. The three-day festival will be featuring over 300 artists, scholars and writers and will also host a theater festival.

Chamak, who is a poet as well as a writer, will be the only person from Punjab to be a part of the three-day literature festival. “I am extremely excited to be part of the literature festival as it will feature prominent speakers and literature scholars, artists from both sides of the border. The idea behind the festival remains to gradually open the cultural and literary borders between the two sides and the festival this year will also celebrate the ideology of Guru Nanak Dev as a mark of respect and the opening of Kartarpur Corridor,” informed Chamak. Chamak will be participating in three literary sessions at the festival. “I will be talking about the centenary of Jallianwala Bagh massacre in a literary session on day one and also be heading a discussion on progression of Punjabi literature. I will also be talking about my book Rang-e-Ishq, a compilation of Sufi poetry that got published last year in one of the literary sessions,” said Chamak. The three-day festival will be featuring over 300 artists, scholars and writers and will also host a theater festival. Chamak, who is curated the art gallery at Sultanpur Lodhi to celebrate the 550th Parkash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev, said that such opportunities must not be missed by artists fraternity on both sides to further the cause of peace and brotherhood between the two nations.
