Body of youth arrives from UAE

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, December 8Body of a 23-year-old immigrant from United Arab Emirates (UAE) Manoj Kumar arrived at the Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International airport here today. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kumar native of Bathra village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. Office bearer of Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust Manpreet Singh Sandhu stated that Manoj Kumar went to Sharjah in UAE, eight months back. Jai Singh, father of Manoj and his friend Sunil Kumar went Sharjah to get the body but did not succeed. The trust members at Sharjah prepared the required documents and airlifted the body of Manoj to Amritsar.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kumar native of Bathra village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. Office bearer of Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust Manpreet Singh Sandhu stated that Manoj Kumar went to Sharjah in UAE, eight months back. On November 1, when he was out in search of work, some unidentified persons attacked him. Seriously injured Manoj was hospitalised and on November 10, he succumbed to injuries. Jai Singh, father of Manoj and his friend Sunil Kumar went Sharjah to get the body but did not succeed. “Some well wisher of the family told them about Sarbat Da Bhalla Trust’s services and they approached Dr SP Singh Oberoi. The trust members at Sharjah prepared the required documents and airlifted the body of Manoj to Amritsar. The family member, who came to receive the body, thanked Dr Oberoi. Navjeet Singh Gahi, local member of SDB Trust stated that the the trust led by Dr Oberoi airlifted 136 bodies of Indian workers in Dubai.
