Plant fruit trees, says DC

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kamaldeep Singh Sangha said the administration had been encouraging the farmers and residents to plant fruit trees. The farmers should plant at least 10 fruit trees at their homes and tubewells yards. “There are several benefits of fruit trees. We will arrange the plants for residents,” he said.

Amritsar, September 21 The district administration organised a function to encourage farmers to plant fruit trees for increasing their income on Wednesday. They gave plants to the farmers at Chogavan block. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kamaldeep Singh Sangha said the administration had been encouraging the farmers and residents to plant fruit trees. “There are several benefits of fruit trees. We get shade and good environment apart from delicious fruit. Fruits play vital role to keep the human beings healthy and fit. The farmers should plant at least 10 fruit trees at their homes and tubewells yards. We will arrange the plants for residents,” he said.
