Kolhapur: Congress MLC Satej Patil led the partys Jam Sanvad Padyatra in Kolhapur district on Sunday.The yatra, planned on the lines of Rahul Gandhis Bharat Jodo Yatra, began from Chandgad talukas Tambulwadi village. Hundreds of local workers participated in it. Along with the songs, Dhangari Dhol and Tal-Mrudung held Warkaris to bring flavor to the march. On Monday morning, the march will reach Gadhinglaj.After walking for eight kilometers, the yatra reached Mangoan in the evening where Patil addressed the party workers. Satej Patil said, The march is organized to show people the real face of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The BJP came to power at the center by making tall promises that have remained unfulfilled because of the inefficiency of the leaders. All opposition parties have come together to defeat the BJP, which is destroying institutions and breaking down the constitution.The padyatra will be held in two phases, party leaders said. The party has planned similar padyatras at various places in the district starting Monday. The local leaders will lead the march.
