Kolhapur: Former president of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association Raghunath Medge had an interactive session with the students of Shivaji University on Thursday.Medge was the keynote speaker at the induction programme organised by the Yashwantrao Chavan School of Rural Development, Shivaji University, at the humanities building. He told the students about the history and organisational structure of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association.Medge asserted that honest hard work is essential for success. The association has about 5,m000 members, 800 contractors and nine directors. We use pollution-free tools in our work. Planning, coordination and sincerity of members allows us to deliver about four lakh lunch boxes on time, he said, adding, Our customers trust us. Organizations worldwide research on our functioning and make documentaries on us. The institute will be a virtual network of partner universities, focusing on sustainable energy, agriculture, health, pandemic preparedness, semiconductor technology, advanced materials, telecommunications, AI, and quantum science. The collaboration aims to promote research collaborations, knowledge-sharing platforms, resource mobilization, and inclusive growth of the research enterprise. Various partnerships have also been formed between specific institutes in India and the US.Members of Vendors Association meet minister Aroop Biswas; seek help to resolve issues with Tolly FederationTolly Para is facing a dispute between the Vendors Association and the Federation of Cine Technicians & Workers of Eastern India (FCTWEI). The Vendors Association has accused the FCTWEI and Producers of barring certain vendors from working on projects and behaving unwelcomingly. After failed attempts at resolving the issue, the Vendors Association threatened to go on strike. However, after a meeting with minister Aroop Biswas, it is expected that the issue will be resolved and work will continue as normal. This is not the first time these parties have had conflicts.
