3 held for assault on rivals

Kolhapur: Seeking revenge for assault on the members of his gang, Swapnil Tasildar and his two accomplices allegedly beat up members of a rival gang at Mukta Sainik Vasahat on Tuesday, said police.Swapnil, who leads a gang, and his two accomplices (his brother Sagar and another gang member identified as Amit Dhondare) were arrested by the Kolhapur police on Wednesday. The trio attacked Abhishek Patole and Karan Bansode of the rival gang. Both were seriously injured.According to the police, at the time of the incident, there were around 15–20 members of the Tasildar gang attacking Patole and Bansode. The cops claim that Swapnil, who always has a firearm on his person, threatened the rival gang members before beating them. Once the locals complained, the cops arrived at the scene and saved Patole and Bansode. In their complaint to the police, the victims alleged that Tasildar used abusive casteist language. This comes after the AGTF arrested three key shooters of Khatris gang in a pan-India operation, seizing three foreign-made sophisticated pistols. The gangster is closely associated with terrorist Harvinder Rinda, and the shooters revealed that Gabbar was involved in a recent firing incident at Metro Plaza in Zirakpur.Member of Tyagi gang detained, pistol seizedA member of the Salman Tyagi-Saddam Gauri gang, Mustafa Tyagi, was arrested in west Delhi. He was wanted in connection with a murder case and other crimes. Tyagi was a fugitive since 2019 and faced charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The police received information about his possible location and apprehended him in Nangloi. Despite being armed, Tyagi was detained without any casualties. Tyagis criminal record includes charges of murder, abduction, and robbery in Delhi.
