Jawan died at the army cantonment in Meerut

Rajnish is survived by his father, mother, wife Jyotsna, two daughters and a son.

A 33 year old army jawan, Rajnish Patni, from Chandkheda died while on duty at the army cantonment in Meerut. While the exact reason for the death is still unknows, family members of the sepoy says the officer who called them up to inform about the tragic incident said it was heart attack.

“Three days ago Rajnish was on a 5km run when he developed a problem with his spinal cord. He had trouble sitting down and was admitted to a hospital. He had conveyed this on phone. He could not be contacted thereafter. We were not told about the exact reason of his death, but we believe he suffered a heart attack. We will know the exact cause once the postmortem report comes in,” said Anita Patni, his sister.

Rajnish is survived by his father, mother, wife Jyotsna, two daughters and a son.
