139 detained in a campaign launched by Meerut police against illegal tools

On demand supplies were being made to Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Shamli, Baghpat, Bulandshahar and nearby towns.

In a 24 hour long campaign launched by Meerut police, huge stocks of illegal tolls have been seized from different of the region along with 139 arrests.

According to the police, more than 250 tanks have been recovered. This is the biggest seizure of the Meerut Police in a single day so far. SSP Ajay Sahni and SP City Dr. Akhilesh Narayan Singh have revealed while talking to the media in the police line.

He said that in all 30 police station areas in Meerut, a campaign was carried out by the Police Incharge, Outpost Incharge and Phantom Police. In which 139 persons have been detained with illegal tools. Among them, the Tamancha factory has been caught from three areas. Brahmapuri police has recovered the maximum 52 tanks.

More than 250 firearms, indigenous guns, an excessive number of firearms have been seized in the city. Also, the SSP says that during the interrogation of the criminals, it has been learned that in the lockdown, the criminals used to make tamanche on demand.

The hunt for those escaped continues while the investigation goes on.
