Meerut: Three men --- aged 18, 26 and 35 years, were found dead in separate incidents under different police station limits in Meerut on Sunday.Mohd Shehzad, 26, a resident of Ashiana Colony, was found dead at his residence under Lohiya Nagar police station limits. His body was hanging from a ceiling fan with his throat slit. Lohiya Nagar SHO said, "We found that Shehzad was mentally ill and had been behaving strangely for the past three days. CO (Kotwali) Amit Rai told TOI, A cut was seen on his throat, but the cause of death will be confirmed by the autopsy. No sharp weapon was recovered. Within six hours of this incident, an unidentified 18-year-old man was found dead at an under-construction house in the Lohiya Nagar police circle. Bloodstains on the walls and injuries inflicted with a brick were observed. In Pallavpuram region, a 35-year-old man was found dead in a water storage pit dug by a factory. His body showed no visible injuries, and it had begun to decompose. Pallavpuram SHO Rajesh Kamboj said, "The cause of death can be determined after the autopsy. The victims family suspects his two friends of giving him drugs. Police have initiated an investigation and registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC.
