3 robbers loot ₹6L from B’shahr bank in 2 minutes

Meerut: Three unidentified, armed and masked thieves robbed a bank at gunpoint in Bulandshahr on Monday.Around 12 noon, the armed men entered the Indian Overseas Banks branch at Bulandshahr-Khurja road in Neemkheda village. While one pointed a gun at the cashier, the others grabbed cash, and they fled with Rs 6 lakh, said Shlok Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Bulandshahr.The robbers are being identified based on CCTV camera footage and a case is being filed. The forensic team has collected samples. Four police teams have been deployed to crack the case, he added.At the time of the incident, bank manager Manish Soni, three bank staffers and a housekeeping staff were inside, along with four or five customers. An eyewitness said it took less than 2 minutes for the robbers to enter the bank and exit with cash. Before we could realise what was happening, the robbers barged into the bank and left with the money, said Tarun Kumar (24), a nearby shop owner.Kumar said the bank has been operational in the area for nearly 11 years but there was no security guard around for the past few years.Additional Director General of Police (ADG)-Meerut Zone, Rajeev Sabharwal went to the crime scene in the evening. The convicts, identified as S Syed Mohamed Ikram, M Karthik, R Kaleeswaran, and V Anand, had visited the center and posed as notorious rowdies. They threatened the staff and demanded money. The gang was arrested and charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The court imposed a fine of INR 15,000 on each of them.Masked men loot bank in KishangarhTwo armed men looted Rs 4 lakh from a nationalised bank in Kishangarh, Ajmer. The police are investigating the incident and taking statements from the bank employees. In other news, criminals looted cash and jewelry from a shop in Patna, a jewelry shop in Delhi, and a constable was injured during a vehicle stop in Udaipur. Additionally, eight individuals have been identified in a fatal assault in Jaipur, and a Chennai pharmacy employee had an incorrect bank balance of Rs 753 crore due to a technical glitch.
