MEERUT: A 45-year-old woman and her two children were arrested for allegedly killing her 26-year-old son, Mohd Shehzad, and making it look like suicide. Shahana, along with daughter Gulshan (24) and son Akram (21) slit Shehzads throat and later tied him from a ceiling fan.Police said on Tuesday the accused took "revenge" for recently "throwing Akram out of the house". The incident took place at Ashiana Colony in Meeruts Lohiya Nagar police limits on Sunday. The autopsy confirmed that Shehzad was murdered and the three accused confessed to the crime, police added. Kotwali circle officer, Amit Kumar Rai, said, "Akram told police Shehzad had evicted him from home as he had married his lover. A chargesheet will be filed soon against the three accused under IPC sections of murder, disappearance of evidence and criminal conspiracy. Akram was caught on a nearby CCTV camera slipping in and out of the house a few times on the day of the crime which raised suspicion. They were taken to court and sent to jail."A senior cop, investigating the case, added, "On Sunday, the family informed police about Shehzads death. Police found Shehzad hanging with a deep cut in his throat. The family produced a doctors prescription and documents to suggest Shehzad was suffering from depression and taking medical help.
