MEERUT: An explosion occurred at a house in Meerut on Tuesday morning, resulting in injuries to five individuals, according to an official. Visuals from the scene showed the affected area completely destroyed by the explosion.Deepak Meena, the District Magistrate of Meerut, stated that the exact cause of the explosion is currently unknown. "In Lohia Nagar, there was a stock stored in the house that appears to be soaps at the moment, along with some machinery. The impact has also affected nearby areas," said DM Meena.The five injured individuals have been transported to the medical college, where medical teams are actively working. Additionally, local teams are continuously working to clear the debris and ensure that no one else is trapped.Preliminary investigations suggest that the house was used for storing soaps and housing soap manufacturing or packaging machinery. However, there is no evidence to suggest that the explosion was caused by firecrackers.Authorities are actively investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
