Noida techie killed for property worth crores by bro, sis-in-law

MEERUT: Three days after the half-burnt body of a 24-year-old woman, subsequently identified as Manisha Chauhan, was found in Baghpat, police on Sunday arrested her brother, Vivek Chauhan, 26, and his wife Shikha, 25, for the murder.Additional SP (Baghpat), Manish Kumar Mishra, said, Manisha was living in Noidas Sadarpur area and worked at a private tech company in sector 57.Her father died in 2011 and after his death, her brother wanted to sell their familyproperty worth crores but she was not willing. Officials believe she was murdered, with strangulation and throat slitting determined as the cause of death. Pratimas body was discovered by her brother, who immediately notified the police. Forensic and technical teams are currently investigating the incident. Pratima had been living alone in the same house for the past four to five years, and there is no indication of theft. The motive for the murder remains unknown.
