MEERUT: An SP MLA, Atul Pradhan, and his 40 unidentified supporters were booked on Wednesday for allegedly creating a ruckus and threatening doctors at a private medical hospital here. While hospital authorities alleged the politician caused the commotion when they asked a patients guardians to pay the bill, the MLA claimed they were asked to buy expensive medicines and pay hefty fees for treatment.Dr Sandeep Garg, medical facility director, told TOI, An infant suffering from pneumonia was admitted to the hospital on October 11 and was under observation for almost a month.On Monday, the hospital administration urged the childs guardians to pay the bills. They called the politician who came with his supporters and created an uproar at the hospital." If such things happen, doctors cannot work properly, Garg said, adding the child is in stable condition and was discharged. The physician complained of stomach ache and acidity before administering the injection. Neovec injection is typically used to relieve muscle stiffness during anesthesia. The doctor was taken to the hospital after the incident, but he did not survive. His family denies that he had any personal or health issues.
