MEERUT: A 26-year-old man and his 55-year-old mother lost their lives in a road accident that occurred in Sikandrabad area of Bulandshahr on Thursday evening when a speeding truckcollided with their motorcycle. According to police, the duo was on their way to attend a relatives last rites when the incident took place. The incident took place on NH-34 near Bilsuri village.The dead were identified as Mohd Mohil and mother Yasmeen, residents of village Kucheja in Bulandshahr. Police said that locals gathered at the spot and caught the truck driver, who was trying to escape, and handed him over to the cops. Police reached the spot and took the victims to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead on arrival. The truck was seized and the driver was arrested.
