MUZAFFARNAGAR: Four drunk persons were arrested on Tuesday after they allegedly molested four women tourists from a business family on the dance floor of a restaurant near the Tajganj police station area in Agra on Monday.When the family protested, the accused allegedly abused and harassed them. Soon, they started beating the family members. Despite attempts by bouncers to intervene, the situation escalated.All the accused managed to flee before police arrived."A video of the incident circulated widely on social media is helping us identify and subsequently arrest all four accused on Tuesday," said DCP Ruraj Rai. The over 2-minute video captures the family being harassed. One of the accused is seen picking up a chair to retaliate, while restaurant staff and other patrons also intervene. According to police, the arrested persons are Yogendra Kumar, Nitin Singh (both residents of Malpura), Rahul Kumar (resident of Sewla Sarai), and Bhupendra (resident of Pachgai Kheda), all aged between 25-30.A victim, in his police complaint, said, "I came with my family to visit Agra. At the hotel, four or five unknown individuals misbehaved with women of my family, breaking liquor bottles and assaulting them. We dont know these people; they targeted the daughters of our family."On a complaint filed by the businessmans wife, a resident of a neighbouring district, police registered a case against the unidentified accused under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), and 147 (punishment for rioting).
