Aligarh hotel gutted in massive blaze, manager suffocates to death

Muzaffarnagar: A massive fire engulfed the second floor of a three-story hotel in Aligarhs Banna Devi area on Sunday morning, leading to the death of the hotel manager. Firefighters battled for hours to bring the blaze under control. Upon reaching the scene, SP (City) Mrigank Shekhar Pathak, told TOI, A short circuit at the counter led to the fire in which an employee of the hotel died.The deceased, Dharmesh Agrawal (49), recently assumed charge of the unit. The investigation is ongoing, and appropriate action will follow."The hotels owner, Ashish Agrawal, said, On Sunday morning, I received the information that the entire hotel was gutted in the fire. The blaze was triggered by a short circuit. Our hotel manager lost his life in the incident. Dharmesh died due to suffocation while attempting to navigate the smoke-filled upper part of the hotel. The blaze intensified as fire brigades rushed to the scene. Quick-thinking employees raised an alarm, alerting others to the danger and potentially saving lives. The managers body has been sent for postmortem house, and police have launched an investigation in the case. Dharmeshs family raised concerns, with his uncle Sanjay Agrawal saying there was foul play behind his nephews death, There were several injury marks on the body, suggesting there was some foul play.
