On Friday the recovery rate witnessed further fall to 92.20%. The national average is 93.64% which is much better. In last five days the recovery number has not crossed 300 mark. On Friday though the recovery is slightly better at 262 it has not touched 300. The cumulative recovery reached 102151. The low recovery resulted in rise in active cases which has crossed 5000 mark to 5002. The Covid-19 positive cases too are increasing. On Friday in one single day 456 persons tested positive for coronavirus out of which 79 are from Nagpur rural and 377 are from Nagpur city. This has taken cumulative number to 110114. Apart from the samples of Nagpur district the people from Nagpur and out of city approached various laboratories in Nagpur to get themselves examined. None of the 1270 train passengers screened at Railway Station were asked to undergo rapid antigen test as they showed no symptoms. After 12 air passengers testing positive for COVID-19 a day earlier three more tested positive on Friday. As per the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) all these patients had boarded the flight from Delhi. On Friday one flight from Jaipur and four from Delhi arrived at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport here. All 61 passengers on-board the flight from Jaipur had got themselves tested before boarding the flight and were carrying their negative reports. Of 461 passengers on-board four different flights coming from Delhi 81 were tested for COVID-19 and three of them were found positive. Given the facts it is surprising that the airport authorities at Delhi are allowing people to board the out-bound flights without checking their COVID-19 test reports or ascertaining that they are carrying the test reports. Meanwhile as many as 1270 passengers arrived at Railway Station in the city by eight different trains on Friday. These included five from Delhi and three from Gujarat. All these passengers were screened. However none of them was asked to undergo the rapid antigen test.
