Burglars strike it rich at builder-cum-realtor's house in daylight theftStaff Reporter :The burglars flee with Rs 17 lakh cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 3.45 lakhIN A daring daylight house-breaking theft thieves burgled cash and gold ornaments collectively worth over Rs 20.45 lakh from the residence of a builder-cum-realtor in Hudkeshwar area on Wednesday. Two burglars who were already keeping a watch on Nitnawre's movements came on a scooterette after he left. The masked burglar climbed the stairs and sneaked into Nitnawre's house after breaking open the door lock with a big screwdriver like tool. The intruder collected Rs 17 Lakh cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 3.45 lakh from an almirah. Staff from Hudkeshwar Police Station led by Senior PI Pratap Bhosle rushed to Nitnawre's house.

Though the sensational incident was captured in the CCTV camera the identity of culprits was yet to be established. A resident of Plot 103 Aakash Nagar Manewada Road Sandeep Shriram Nitnawre (40) who also runs Samrat Gymnasium on the ground floor of his building had gone out for some work. Before leaving he locked his house on the second floor around 2.30 pm. His family had gone to his in-laws house. Two burglars who were already keeping a watch on Nitnawres movements came on a scooterette after he left. One of them with face covered with a scarf entered the house after opening the gate while the other was on guard sitting on the scooterrette pretending as if he was talking to some one on mobile phone. The masked burglar climbed the stairs and sneaked into Nitnawres house after breaking open the door lock with a big screwdriver like tool. The intruder collected Rs 17 Lakh cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 3.45 lakh from an almirah. The burglars then decamped with the booty. When Nitnawre who also runs Vidarbha Surgicals returned home after one-and-a-half hours and was shocked to find the cash and ornaments stolen. He called the police immediately. Staff from Hudkeshwar Police Station led by Senior PI Pratap Bhosle rushed to Nitnawres house.
