In Nagpur retired District Judge V T Suryavanshi-headed committee has Regional Deputy Director of Education (Divisional Deputy Director of Education) as Ex-officio Member Secretary. Divisional Chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Chandramani Borkar retired Director of Education; Akshay Gulhane Chartered Accountant will be the members. Maharashtra Fee Regulation Act 2011 has provisions for the formation of a divisional fee regulatory committee.

After receiving several complaints from parents regarding fees charged by schools the department had constituted a revision committee in February 2020 of A M Dhavale a retired High Court Judge as Chairperson and the Joint Director of Education (Secondary and Higher Secondary) Directorate of Education as the ex-officio Member-Secretary for the purposes of Maharashtra Educational Institutions (Regulations of Fee) Act 2011. Then a selection committee was formed which suggested the names of for divisional committees. In Nagpur retired District Judge V T Suryavanshi-headed committee has Regional Deputy Director of Education (Divisional Deputy Director of Education) as Ex-officio Member Secretary. Divisional Chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Chandramani Borkar retired Director of Education; Akshay Gulhane Chartered Accountant will be the members. Maharashtra Fee Regulation Act 2011 has provisions for the formation of a divisional fee regulatory committee. As per the Act schools can increase their annual fees by a maximum of 15 per cent every two years. The decision to hike fees has to be approved in the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) body formed at the school level.
