GPO On the occasion of 7th International Yoga Day General Post Office (GPO) released special cancellation of Yoga impressed on all booked and delivered articles. Deptt of Yoga Science KKSU Post Graduate Department of Darshan Shastra and Yogashastra at Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU) celebrated International Yoga Day on-line. Others Girish Vyas MLC performed yogasanas at his residence as part of International Yoga Day celebration.

ASI and SCZCC organised the event. Staff Reporter : Nagpur joined the world in celebrating the International Yoga Day. Various events were organised to mark the occasion. Right from political leaders to officers to common people and children various sections participated in the events at different locations keeping in mind COVID-19 protocols. ASI and SCZCC Nagpur had the honour of hosting International Yoga Day programme in the premises of Old High Court building which is a national heritage. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Nagpur Circle and South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) jointly hosted the programme. Nitin Gadkari Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways was the chief guest on this occasion. Gauri Marathe Deputy Director of SCZCC; Nandini Bhattacharya Sahu Regional Director Western Region ASI; KRK Reddy Superintending Archaeologist Nagpur Circle; M Angaitkar In-charge of Old High Court building were present prominently. At the outset Gadkari lit the traditional lamp to mark formal inauguration of the event. Later all the attendees including Gadkari performed Yogasanas. Addressing the gathering Gadkari appealed to the people to do pranayama and yoga regularly for a healthy and wholesome lifestyle. After the yoga session artists presented demonstrations of Mallakhamb and Dandpatta which were widely appreciated. Dr Sambhaji Bhosale and team Rahul Dharmik and team presented the demonstrations. Gadkari also planted saplings in Old High Court premises. Deepak Patil proposed a vote of thanks. NMC Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) in collaboration with Janardanswami Yogabhyasi Mandal organised demonstrations of yogasanas in its premises on Monday morning. Dayashankar Tiwari Mayor; Manisha Dhawde Deputy Mayor; Prakash Bhoyar Chairman of Standing Committee; Tanaji Wanve Leader of Opposition; Radhakrishnan B Municipal Commissioner; Pramod Tabhane Chairman of Sports Committee; Ram Joshi and Sanjay Nipane Additional Municipal Commissioners; and others participated in the demonstrations. Jayant Kate and Akshay Patwardhan guided the participants in performing yogasanas. Speaking on the occasion the Mayor appealed to all to do yoga to build good immunity. GPO On the occasion of 7th International Yoga Day General Post Office (GPO) released special cancellation of Yoga impressed on all booked and delivered articles. A video on common yoga protocol was also played in loop mode on LED screen for awareness of people. KKSU Department of Yoga Science of Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU) got the opportunity to impart yoga training to students of Std VIII to XII under Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the country. Nine lakh students and teachers across India benefited from the on-line yoga exercise. Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) co-ordinated the effort. Prof Shrinivasa Varakhedi Vice-Chancellor of KKSU was the chief guest of the virtual programme. Prof Sridhar Srivastava Director NCERT; Prof Amarendra Behra Co-Director CIET-NCERT; Prof Gauri Srivastava Head DESS-NCERT; Prof Madhusudan Penna Dean of the Faculty of Indian Religion Philosophy and Culture at KKSU; and Prof Kalapini Agasti Head of the Department of Yoga; all deans professors Dr Ramchandra Joshi Registrar were present prominently. The guests addressed the participants and stressed upon the relevance of yoga. Mithilesh Bhakre Assistant Professor Department of Yoga; research students yoga instructor and counsellor Rashmi Jain imparted yoga training to students and teachers. Anupama Thukral Shilpa Sharma and Dr Alka Singh extended technical support. Deptt of Yoga Science KKSU Post Graduate Department of Darshan Shastra and Yogashastra at Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU) celebrated International Yoga Day on-line. Prof Srinivasa Varakhedi Vice-Chancellor presided over the function while Dr Madhusudan Penna Dean Faculty of Indian Religion Philosophy and Culture; Dr Kalapini Agasti Head of the Department of Yoga Science; deans of all faculties heads of all departments and Dr Ramchandra Joshi Registrar were present on this occasion. The camps conducted by students of the department were attended by more than 3500 sadhaks. People from other countries 15 States and Maharashtra attended the camps. IGNOU The International Yoga Day was celebrated by IGNOU Regional Centre Nagpur. Dr Anil Wagh conducted Yoga session and gave details of importance of Yoga in day-to-day life. He cleared the doubts of participants. Dr P Sivaswaroop Regional Director thanked and felicitated Dr Anil Wagh with a shawl and shreefal. Nagpur NCC Group Nagpur NCC Group celebrated International Yoga Day. Due to COVID-19 restrictions cadets were encouraged to participate from their homes along with their family members. Approximately 10500 cadets and staff of NCC participated in the event. Group Captain M Kalim Nagpur NCC Commander congratulated all NCC Officers staff Associate NCC Officers and cadets. Cadet Riders of No 1 R&V Squadron of Nagpur NCC Group under the leadership of Col Manish Bhatnagar presented a unique yoga display to showcase synchronisation among rider and the ride. UMANG Sub-Area The 7th International Yoga Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Nagpur and Kamptee Stations under the aegis of Head Quarters Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat (UMANG) Sub-Area. Maj Gen Dinesh Hooda GOC Sub-Area along with 482 men 180 ladies and children took part in the event. All COVID-19 precautions were adhered to. Virtual Yoga session was conducted for ladies and children. DLSA District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) organised an awareness programme at Government Girls Shelter Home Katol Road. Adv Surekha Borkute DLSA Member; Anjali Nimbalkar Superintendent of the shelter home; DLSA staff were present prominently. Over 30 girls participated in the programme. The programme was organised under the guidance of Abhijeet Deshmukh Secretary DLSA and Civil Judge (Senior Division). ZP Health Deptt Health Department of Zilla Parishad (ZP) also organised an on-line programme. Dr Radhika Wazalwar Yog trainer guided the participants on yogasanas. Yogesh Kumbhejkar Chief Executive Officer of ZP; Dr Devendra Paturkar Civil Surgeon; Dr Seema Parvekar Medical Superintendent Daga Hospital; Dr Suresh Mote District AYUSH Officer and others participated in the programme. Social Welfare Department Social Welfare Department also organised an on-line programme. Dr Siddharth Gaikwad Regional Deputy Commissioner addressed the officials and employees and stressed upon practice of Yoga. BSS and Yog Sampada Bharatiya Sindhu Sabha (BSS) and Yog Sampada jointly organised a programme in the premises of Sadhana Sahakari Bank Ltd Jaripatka. Ghanshyam Kukreja Chairman of the bank; Chandrakumar Tekchandani Vice-President of Yog Sampada; Virendra Kukreja Pramila Mathrani Shobha Bhagia Kishor Lalwani Bhagwandas Advani Sanjay Chaudhary and others were present prominently. Nehru Yuva Kendra Nehru Yuva Kendra and Tej Yog Tree jointly organised on-line training sessions on Common Yoga Protocol. It was attended by volunteers and youngsters from various villages. Others Girish Vyas MLC performed yogasanas at his residence as part of International Yoga Day celebration. Regional Field Publicity Bureau Rangdhun Kala Manch Rashtrabhasha Parivar Geet Natak Party jointly organised a programme. Sanjay Tiwari office in-charge was present prominently. Sanjeevani Pranayam and Garden Friends organised demonstrations in Khonde Udyan Mahal. Sulabha Ksheersagar was the chief guest. A programme was held in Naik Nagar Garden under the aegis of corporator Bharati Bunde and Suresh Rewatkar Secretary Senior Citizens Council of Nagpur district. Pradeep Pohane corporator was the guest at a programme held in Surya Nagar Garden. A group of women led by Jyoti Shembekar organised a programme in Aaji-Ajoba Park in Deendayal Nagar. Patanjali Yog Samiti organised a programme for women in Namdeo Nagar Garden in Kawrapeth. Sevabhavi Manda Bahu-uddeshiya Samaj Vikas Sanstha also organised a programme on-line. Nagpur Zilla Yog Association organised on-line programme in which Purva Mirey guided the participants in performing various yogasanas. Prakash Masurkar Working President of Brihan Maharashtra Yog Parishad inaugurated the programme. Anil Mohgaonkar Bhushan Take Sunil Nilatkar Sandesh Khare and others prominently attended it.
